Angel Wings Foundation, alongside the Cypher and Iversen families, has established a scholarship to honor the memory of Emerald Ridge High School teacher, Sarah Cypher.
Sarah lost her hard fought battle with lung cancer in November 2014. She had a passion for her family and students, with a strong belief that every student had potential to learn and succeed. Sarah was a nurturer to all and a giver to anyone who needed it. Her passion for teaching and life was displayed in everything she poured her heart into. She built relationships with others with ease and would put in the time to keep those relationships her whole lifetime.
Sarah managed to fit 80 years’ worth of love, laughter, passion, and giving into her short 36 years on Earth and was an inspiration to many. Her realm of positive influence spread through her community, touching many people's lives in the process. Sarah had a huge heart for her community and knew that the hard work and dedication she had every day in the classroom was making a difference, whether she saw it or not. She was able to live every day knowing, with confidence, that she was making a difference in the lives of her family, friends, and community.
"That best portion of a good man's life: His little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love." - William Wordsworth
